My Sister's Keeper Banner

While caucasian women get breast cancer more often than African-American women, African-American women die far more often from this disease.  Research shows that this may be because African-American women do not get regular mammograms.

To bridge this gap, Premier Community Health created My Sister's Keeper.  My Sister’s Keeper is a great way for African-American women in the greater Dayton region to have fun and potentially save lives in the process. Schedule a My Sister’s Keeper party and learn about the importance of mammography, breast care, and breast cancer early detection for African American women.

My Sister's Keeper - Breast Cancer AdParties can be held anywhere. All you have to do is set the date, find a location and invite friends and family. Premier Community Health will do the rest including and providing:

  • Invitations
  • Posters
  • Goody bags
  • Decorations
  • Door prizes
  • Life-saving information

Parties are free. Before the party is over, attendees are asked to sign a pledge to get a mammogram. If you’re uninsured or can’t afford your co-pay, you may be eligible for a free mammogram.

Any group of African-American women age 40 or older can call Premier Community Health at (937) 227-9484 and book a free party.
