Career Opportunities

Premier Community Health (PCH) is a unique and rewarding place to work. For information on available positions or internships, please contact us at (937) 227-9400.

Recruiting Nurses and Health Educators

PCH is continually accepting resumes for nurses and health educators to become Community Health Workers. These workers conduct our health screenings and offer health counseling at events in the greater Dayton region. It is a “pool” position, so you work where and when you wish.

These paid positions include free training. After your training period, which includes three events, we offer free logo clothing.

Events are held in Montgomery, Miami, Preble, Greene, Warren, Butler, Darke, Clark, Champaign, Shelby, and Logan counties. We offer programs seven days a week, sometimes 24 hours a day for locations with shift workers.

To qualify, you must be an RN, LPN, health educator, medical technician, or other comparable professional. You must already know how to do an accurate blood pressure and know an effective technique for finger-stick lab testing.

To learn more about this opportunity, e-mail Lea Wilcox at lwilcox@pch-dayton.org.

Internships

PCH offers unpaid and occasionally paid internships in community health and communications.

For community health/public health internships, we offer experience in all phases of community health practice, including program planning, collaboration, development, implementation, and evaluation. These opportunities are best suited for students in undergraduate or graduate health education or public health programs. We would expect an intern to already understand the basic tenants of community health practice.

Internships in communications focus on project management, public relations, and publications management. These internships are geared toward undergraduate communications students who can work a set number of part time hours per week.

For more information about internships, please call PCH at (937) 227-9400.
