DAYTON, OHIO, August 1, 2010 – Join us for a free day of health and wellness during the Miami Valley Hospital Kettering Community Health Fair on Saturday, August 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Christ United Methodist Church, 3440 Shroyer Road, Kettering.
The fair offers free total cholesterol, HDL (good cholesterol), blood sugar, blood pressure, hemoglobin A1C (for those with diabetes), sun damage screening, carbon monoxide, hearing, take-home colorectal kits and height and weight measurements. No appointments are needed and no fasting is required. There will also be health information, door prizes, chair massages, a silent auction and more! The first 250 participants into the event win a prize!
“Getting screened and encouraging people to live a healthy life is such an important part of what we do,” said Pamela Reichel, executive director of Premier Community Health. “The earlier you know if there are any problems, the easier they are to be addressed.”
The event is sponsored by Miami Valley Hospital with help from Miami-Jacobs Career College, Universal 1 Credit Union and the Wells Institute for Health Awareness.
