Premier Health Offers Free Skin Cancer Screenings

Dayton, OH, April 9, 2012 – Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States, yet through a free and simple screening, it can easily be detected early or even prevented. In honor of National Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month, Premier Health, in conjunction with Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine, is taking appointments for a free skin cancer screening that is open to all community members. Screenings include:

All skin cancer screenings include a full-body skin exam performed by a dermatologist, and a Dermascan screening, which uses a black light to look for skin damage on the face. Participants with possible skin cancer or precancerous conditions will be referred either to their family physician or to a dermatologist for further testing.
