Premier Community Health Offering Blood Pressure Training
July 9, 2013 – Premier Community Health, in partnership with the Health and Wellness Ministry of Stratford Heights Church, is offering a training workshop for “Accurate Blood Pressure Measurement in a Congregational or Community Setting” on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Atrium Medical Center Professional Building, One Medical Center Drive, Middletown, Ohio.
The workshop is for health professionals who already have basic skills in blood pressure measurement and for those who are involved in blood pressure screenings and monitoring activities in ambulatory, church and community settings. Attendees will be updated on current recommended BP measurement technique and its rationale, as well as learn tips and pitfalls to getting an accurate reading.
The workshop is free to employees or partners of Premier Health and $10 for all others. It is being led by Rhonda Johnson, BSN, RN. The workshop is approved for 2.0 contact hours (UVMC-1212-11) by the Ohio Board of Nursing through the OBN Approver Unit at Upper Valley Medical Center OBN-005-92.
